This past weekend, Capy Crew laced up and hit the trails again — this time at the beautifully maintained KL East Park, nestled right at the edge of the city located within Sime Darby Property Bhd’s vibrant KL East township.
Pre-booking
To visit KL East Park, you’ll need to pre-book a slot at www.kleastpark.com. Just hit the “Book Your Spot” button within 72 hours of your planned visit. For example, if you’re planning to go on a Sunday, bookings open as early as Thursday. Slots get snapped up very quickly so do secure your spots early.
There are five time slots daily: 7–9am, 9–11am, 11am–1pm, 2–4pm, and 4–6pm.
Why the need to book? The park limits visitors to prevent overcrowding and protect its ecosystem, making sure everyone gets a peaceful, clean, and green experience. You will have to scan the QR at the entrance so do not skip this step!
How to get there
KL East Park is accessible via LRT Gombak. It's a 20 minute walk to the hiking area from the station. If you're driving, there is ample parking at the KL East Sales Gallery.
The hike
We kicked-off at 9am sharp, ready to stroll through nature. The route was friendly to all levels, with gentle inclines, shaded forest paths, and even a few Instagrammable clearings along the way.

A striking observation in this hiking trail was how well-maintained the paths were. Even though I prefer "wilder" hiking trails, one can stop to appreciate the effort put into preserving the park’s accessibility and cleanliness, making it inviting for beginners, families, and casual nature lovers without compromising the natural charm of the surroundings.

The hike includes a lookout point which showcases the scenic KL skyline. Out of the many KL hikes we've done, this was one of the best views of our iconic skyline!

Post-Hike Recharge
After an hour of hiking, we headed to KL East Mall to refuel and rehydrate. As always, it was less about the calories burned and more about building community, sharing stories, and exploring our beautiful country together.

Final Thoughts
KL East Park reminded us that not every adventure needs to be extreme. Sometimes, all you need is a good trail, good company, and a little greenery to reset your week.
Stay tuned for our next Capy Crew outing! We’re always on the lookout for new places to explore and new faces to welcome. Until then, keep your shoes dusty and your spirits high. 🐾
